Senior UI Designer
in Bogota.
The Senior UI Designer is responsible for the execution of UI strategy projects. The Sr. UI Designer works integrated into a larger team and is capable of handling complex user experience projects efficiently under minimum direction from either a Creative Lead or a UI Manager, but also has proven ability to handle interaction experience projects independently exceeding expectations.
You will:
- Works closely with clients, business partners, industry experts and the development team to achieve the business goals.
- Conducts discovery sessions and exercises with business stakeholders and partners in order to understand the business, the product/app background, limitations and the ecosystem surrounding the product or application with minimum lead’s direction. Some of the tasks and deliverables include (but are not limited to): project kick-off meetings, stakeholder interviews, stakeholder workshops/design-thinking workshops, debriefing, requirement-gathering, content inventory, compliance and legal requirements gathering, tech requirements gathering and competitor analysis.
- Carries out complex and test user experience and user behavior to determine their needs, feelings, desires and pain points with minimum lead’s direction. Some of the tasks and deliverables include (but are not limited to): user testing, A/B testing, shadowing, interviews, data analysis, measure product performance, psychographics analysis, observational research, heuristic analysis, card sorting and empathy maps.
- Structures user research insights using design-thinking exercises with minimum lead’s direction. Some of the tasks and deliverables include (but are not limited to): personas, user journey and storyboards.
- Prepares handoff for the development team. Some of the tasks and deliverables include (but are not limited to): design comps, design assets, redlines and UX documentation.
- Applies usability best practices.
- Applies accessibility best practices.
- Applies agile and iterative design best practices.
You have:
- 4+ experience in visual design, interface design, UX, or product design
- Experience in UI prototyping.
- Experience managing and creating UI design systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Figma.
- Solid understanding of interactivity and animation principles and best practices.
- Solid understanding of visual design principles, trends, systems and structures.
- Solid understanding of UX principles, trends and theory.
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of productivity and remote collaboration tools: MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Jira, Trello, Slack, Zoom, Acrobat, Drive, Box, Paper, Notion.
- Knowledge of design systems frameworks such as Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines.
- Experience with international clients and global brandspreferred.
- Understanding of digital marketing, online advertising and business strategy concepts.
- Comfortable on the iOS environment.
